so i really should be studying for my exams. but it's religion, who really gives a shit.

anyways, so i have realised something: i like taylor hall. at first i was like AW HELL NAW. and i thought he very much resembled a horse. now he is warming on me. those lips...they're just SO BIG. he's a good player and everything. he's ok. i was so focussed on my love for guberduberdance (erik gudbranson <33) that i had forgotten to creep everyone else who was around me. perfect example being ryan johansen. when the jackets drafted him i was like WTF but after the world juniors all i can say is DAMN. WELCOME ABOARD KID.

all star game is this weekend, i am suuuper excited for the superskills competition, it's my favorite part <3 the game itself is pointless.

its been a while.

hahah, like at least a year. it's not like annyone reads this, but i like having a place to jot down my crazy hockey opinions :) since i have A LOT of them.

so i'm now in grade ten. and a lot has changed, but at the same time, it hasnt changed at all.

in addition to my continuing support of the blue jackets, and ongoing love affairs with the pens/caps, i have also decided to root for the oilers. i started because of magnus, but watching the games, i realised that these oilers have a lot of hope for the future, and have a really good chance of becoming the next pens/hawks. i actually believe that.

maybe this is the start of me writing more, but i doubt it. i'm in the midst of cpts/exams/friendship issues, so it's a busy time for me.

Jason Chimera to Washington for Milan Jurcina and Chris Clark.

I approve. Never did like Chimmer much. I also have had a bit of a soft spot for Clark, and apparently he's related to me in some obscure way. (not that that's too important) Anyways, he'll provide some Vetran leadership on and off the ice, and some scoring. (more so than Chimera, IMO). Milan Jurcina is excellent. I hated him sometimes in the PenCap series, for messing with my Penguins, which means that he's good defensively. These two players will not be the solution however. We still have a long way to go, but, this is an OK indication of success in the future.

why I think this would be bad:

-Jackets need offense. HELLO, we only have a couple players with huge offensive upsides
(Nash, Huselius)
-we have enough defense. even with Klesla out, we've got plenty of goons in Syracuse who can step up and fill in.
-have i mentioned we need offense? like a lot? we cannot rely on Torres, Chimera, Boll, Dorsett, and the likes to score the points! the truth is, we've got one line that produces most of our points, with the rest of the checkers jumping in once and a while with a goal or two.

bottom line:

I love Brian Lee, that's no surprise to you, but I don't think he would be a good fit for Columbus at this point, and Ottawa has made it clear that they don't want him. the only way I would consent this trade is if Filatov were NOT part of the deal. he will be a huge asset for us one day, as soon as Hitchcock removes that stick out of his ass.
