Were you called to the KHL this offseason?
I was called this summer and during last season. I am not going to name teams...
And I bet you were offered more money.
A lot more. Times more.
What is holding you in America?
When I was 18 I made a decision to play in the NHL. This decision did not come easy. But what is the point of backing off now? It would make more sense if I didn't play well. But everything is going good for me right now across the ocean.

what a surprise! not. as much as I love Nikita, I know that he expects almost instant NHL stardom, and if he does not get it, he'll lollop straight back to Russia. if he spends this next year toiling in Syracuse or playing very minimal minutes for CBJ, he will fly back to the motherland faster than you can say Yashin.
yeah so not shocking news at all, I've read his blog (and although the Russian/English translation sucks) I get the impression that he's not very fond of America. I'm glad he's going to try his hardest to make the roster, but Hitch is quite staunch of the defense, so needless to say it will be a sehr interesting year. I reeeeaaaalllllyyy hope he stays, because I think he will be amazing one day in the NHL, he just needs to develop. you can't have your puck and score with it too. (heh.)
today i found a glorious sight where people can talk about hockey players and their girlfriends. it's basically a bunch of retards and puckbunnies talking about how much they a) love a certain player or b) how much they hate a certain player's GF. the retards like to spread GF rumours that scare the bejeebers out of the puckbunnies and leave them in a tizzy for several days. all in all, it's a hoot, not very reliable info, but funny nonetheless.
anways, back to the gist of the story: Geno has got a girlfriend!!!! she's the slutty blond girl with big lips that i saw sitting next to him at the NHL awards!normally i can handle NHL player girlfriends, but she's too much. when she met Geno, she was already in the process of divorcing her rich husband. if that's not a red flag, i do not know what one is. i've seen her in a bathing suit, she doesn't even know how to tie one up properly. her name is Oksana, but the fangirlies on the forum refer to her as "the Ox". I like it xD it's fitting. and i know i am being mean, but she is so clearly tapping it for the money!!! (pahahaha)
school starts in 2 days. back to "school" or the concentration camp as i like to call it. guarded by the oberfuhrs and ss ihatechildren. and the hitler youth. dear god, kill me now. and this year is important, i have to study and labour SO hard, because colleges will look at my marks this year, which means that if i want to get a scholarship to U of Stockholm, i need PERFECT (and then some) grades. and i need to join some clubs. i predict a burnout sometime soon. I'll think of myself as Ryan Miller. (we can both do very very well, and we both have a LOT of pressure on us.) jus, i can see it now. just call me mini miller. i hope we don't get injured. (i actually like this idea of mini miller, a LOT.)
so it's very late at night and i am doing girly quizzes.

Columbus Blue Jackets schedule, Patrick Kane...
I know this is a little late on the draw but, Patrick Kane?! what an idiot. I quess that's how they do down in Buffalo. Its lovely to know that hockey players take their time off in the summer to really get out there and do productive things. -.-
I'm too lazy to post all of the Jackets' 2009-2010 schedule, but as I am looking at it, it isn't too bad. they play the Sens November 26th, in Ottawa, so I will be going. I only counted 8 sets of back-to-back games, (not counting pre-season) and our longest road trip is five games, from nov. 19th-26th. April is killer. five games, three against Detroit. Kill me now. Hopefully we will have clinched a playoff spot by then, because thos last five games will not be fun. In February we have five home games in a row :) yes, this is quite a good schedule.
this will be a good year for hockey. <3
