Sweeps, OT and Stanley Cup Finals

ummm, so today is a nice day :D and a really sad day :(

first, start with the good part: IT'S STEVE MASON'S BIRTHDAY! my widdle baby faced superstar in the making Stevey! :D this is why I love May, there's not only my birthday, but a ton of hockey player's birthdays as well. like kris russel, RJ umberger, Manny Malhotra, nikita filatov, steve mason, and ERIK KARLSSON, in 2 days :D

now the sad part: today is the one year anniversary of Vancouver's Luc Bourdon. he died riding around New Brunswick in his motorcycle. :'( *moment of silence*

----------

Pens swept the Canes the other night. Eric Staal FINALLY scored for the canes, but it wasn't enough to save them :( it did make me sad, because i can always have a lot of respect for a team that can beat both the devils AND boston, the top seeded team going into the playoffs. but on the other hand, the Pens ARE my playoff team since columbus was SWEPT. so I understand how these poor cane fans are feeling :/ but on the other hand, i was finally on the right end of a sweep :) so i got to get my broom out. i just sat in my chair, watching the game, and when the Pens won it, i jumped up and my broom banged the ceiling, and my mom bolted into the room and took it away from me :( it made me sad.

but I cheered up when Sid and Bylsma came on for interviews :) Sidney Crosby is such a classy guy. even my mom thinks so. my dad thinks he's a baby though. :/ but what does that old coot know :P

aaaannnnnnnnddddddddd, Detroit won their series against Chicago :( which freaking SUCKS, because that was pretty much chicago's best game in the series. they managed to hold the Wangs down to just one goal, and Kaners had an amazing, AMAZING goal to send it into OT. like seriously, it was insane! he skates by 3 Wangs, and roofs it past Ozzie. never even saw it coming :)

I think though, that a certain wangs player deserves some recogniztion. a mr. Darren Helm played exceptionally. in that one penalty kill, he kept the puck in CHICAGO'S end the whole time. if there was any wangs player who shoulve scored, it should hahve been him. which it was, in OT :) I may not like the wangs, but I cann certainly admit when they are playing well. which they almost always do. they ARE a good team. maybe too good....

huet's pad save in regulation deserves a mention too, the one where he was sprawled down and he whacked hoogamaflick's shot ride out. it wouldve been an open net. Huet stood on his head and kept those Hawks in it. :D

but obviously he's not a miracle worker, and in the end, the Hawks lost. Hat's off, RESPECT the the Chicago Blackhawks, who had an EXCELLENT season. <333333

so, the Stanley Cup finals will be a repeat of last years, in which the Pens seek revenge on the dirty, crummmy, buttcracky Wangs.

good luck detroit, playing without Lindstrom, Datsyuk, and Ericsson. (sarcasm, i would never wish them luck,)

and I'm not giving any predictions, because whenever i say "oh wel so-and-so is going to win" that team always LOSES. so i'm keeping my lips zipped :) but I can hope thaty it's the pens. as long as we're not off to any bad starts, so Fleurs, do NOT try and act all cool and run into the arena, you remeber what happened last year? but of course, it couldve been those two wangs fans that were hanging around the entrance, i smell something fishy with those two. the way they were in hysterics after was a little suspicious. -.- LOL, i loved how talbot was all runrunrunrunrunrun STOP!

poor Fleurs. LETS GO PENS!<333

ajo :)
