Welcome to Ottawa, Erik.

today marks one of the best days of my life. today, mes amies, my future hubby, ERIK KARLSSON signed a three year NHL entry contract. which means, no more thousands of miles away, Erik. yous a canadian now :-D

so this morning, i trundled down the stairs in a sleep deprived stupor, pausing in the living room to nab the sports section of the newspaper. my eyes slowly ticked over the headlines: Manny Ramirez busted for drugs(well there's a surprise -.-) Bettman vs. Balsille battle rages on(whatcha think about that???), Karlsson signs with sens.....

PAUSE.

my eyes skimmed over the article, and when i was finished, my hopes were confirmed. Erik Karlsson is with the sens. his contract in Frolunda is up :-)

the only debate going on, is wether or not Karlsson is ready for the NHL. i think he can handle it. after all, he's a shrimpy defenseman( height- 5'11) and he played in the swedish elite league with old men. and won. so i don't think there's much question on wether or not he is ready. rock n' roll boi!! :D

ok well that was my excitement of the day, having Karlie sign with the Sens, even though i'm not much of a sens supporter myself. but hey, i can't go see any of the Pens, Jackets or caps games, considering they are far away american teams. so i guess i make do with the sens. plus, there's Brian Lee, AND NOW ERIK KARLSSON! honestly, i really want to go to some games this year, like sens vs. jackets(my plan is to wear my columbus jersey and hahve people eyeballing me :]) sens vs. pens (hahah, sens versus pens, i made a rhyme. i want to see the kid, tangers, fleury, geno, etc..) sens vs. caps (BACKIE, OVIE AND VARLY) and now NY rangers, just so i can go sit behind the rangers bench and piss Torts off. 'hey torts, i'm a little thirsty, can you toss me up a water bottle?' and wherever Paajarvi-Svensson and Hedman go, i watch them too. talk about a prospect watch :3

in other news, the pens game on wednesday, the one i was watching whilst i wrote my last post, turned out to be quite a game :-) i say this only because my TANGERS managed to snag a goal in OT. honestly, i don't know how Varlamov didn't save it, but I'm glad he didn't, because it means i get to go and brag about Tangers to my friends and parents. (my mom & dad are cheering for the caps, for some reason. they think they'll win :/) lol. and tonight, is another do-or-die for the Pens, because if they lose, it's 3-1 for the caps, and i doubt the penguins can rally to overcome such a deficit. so, i will be stuffing my face with cheetos and fruit punch, eagerly watching my penguins win. (hopefully.)

OOH, malkin was on FIYA! like seriously, when he plays, he PLAYS. now we see some signs of life from mr. MVP Hart nominee :) and Backstrom scored last night, also. all my boys scored.
*anxiously awaits for 7:30 pm tonight*

aha, here's something i haven't discussed: Bettman vs. Balsille. seriously, screw Gary Bettman. why the hell is he fighting so hard to keep a team in Pheonix? it's a fricken DESERT. it may be canadian bias, but my personal opinion is that hockey and desert do NOT mix. if there ain't snow, then hockey won't show XD. while southern ontario is a ripe hockey environnement, i think maybe Pheonix shoulld go back to Winnipeg, where they rightfully belong. i still don't know why the jets were moved in the first place. -.- americans aren't interested, Gary, stop forcing them!

and i just realised that i spent 8 paragraphs talking about hockey o.o and i will be writing some more, because i still have to yap about the IIHF world chamionships that are actually going on as i speak.

the other day, in between periods of the PenCap game actually, i went out and sat on the porch with my mom, because it was such a nice evening. anyways, there's this girl who lives on my street, and she thinks she's little ms. perfect. we all know one. anyways, her parents spoil her to no end, which is probably partly why she thinks she is god's gift to the earth. her dad just got her a moped, for some bizarre reason. so, my mom and i were sitting on the porch, chatting, looking at my neighbours and all that, then all of a sudden, the girl and her dad go whizzing by on her brand new moped, perfect posture, nose up in the air, faces squished up like they'd eaten something sour. they looked like to poster family for insanity. never in my life have i laughed so loudly, and so hard. :P

nothing really happened today, besides Karlie coming to Ottawa, and one of my friends Kathryn gettong back from Flo Rida. a rather slow day, actually. we had this creeper of a teacher for history. he was subbing for Ledick (not his real name XD) and i swear to god, he looked like a fish. he stood literally with his legs played out like fins, and he had really creepy, bulgey eyes. his hair was even gelled to look like gills. o.o and it was scary, because i had him a few times last year, and out of everyone in the class, he remembered who i was. he tried starting up a conversation. it was really awkward. he looks like a pedo. he kept walking around the room during silent work, just lurking and watching. i swear, he's gonna stalk me now XD

WORLDS::

-russia beat the US. they are now in the gold medal game :) *RUSSE!*

-canada vs. sweden is currently going on, and just when i write sweden off, they score. the score is now 3-1. so, go go sweden. naw, i don't really cheer for canada, my own country, because everyone knows they ARE the hockey country, no matter what the russians or swedish try to say. (and they always get a medal. so i'm satisfied)

ok, done talking about the worlds. i only like the JUNIORS. and i don't like european ice. it makes everything look slower.

well, i probably should write off, i feel like such a loser, hunched over my keyboard, aynonomously typing a bunch of crap about hockey.

ajö! <3

(that's swedish for 'bye' in case you haven't figured it out :P)
